The mission of the Upstate Historic Preservation Society (UHPS) is to identify and protect historic sites, structures, cemeteries, and stories that are in imminent danger of disappearing from Upstate South Carolina.

Our first project is to save the former home of New Hope Colored School from the wrecking ball.
